Summer Learning

Be a STAR!

In our Skills Training and Academic Recovery (STAR) program every student shines with success!

STAR is a four-week summer learning experience open to any student currently enrolled at the Autism Model School.

The next session of STAR begins July 1st, 2024 and runs until July 26th, 2024.

STAR Power

Standout features of our summer program include…

  • Evidence-based practices
  • Rigorous reading and math programming
  • Innovative workforce readiness experiences
  • Continuity of services between school year and summer learning

We offer all this at no additional charge to families.

Why STAR?

We launched STAR in 2021 to begin to address learning losses linked to school closures from the pandemic. That summer, we offered 12 hours of in-person learning each week.

This was bumped up to 30 hours per week the following year.

A student who attends our regular school year program and STAR will receive 37% more instructional hours than required by Ohio’s Department of Education and Workforce.

Opt-in to STAR

Parents of currently enrolled students must complete a registration form to participate in our STAR summer learning program.
