The Autism Model School, in partnership with parents and the community, provides students with a nurturing environment and aims to develop the full potential of differently-abled students using a multidisciplinary approach, specializing in those students diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. We emphasize the importance in small class sizes and maintain a low student-teacher ratio, training individual classroom staff to serve specific students.
We take pride in being a school community where staff and students can feel secure, respected, and genuinely appreciated. Our year-round school calendar was designed to allow abundant periods for work, yet allow for a considerable amount of time for leisure as well.
We are always interested in examining the possibility of obtaining new professionals who share the same passion for working with special needs students as we do. We value cooperation and team work, compassion, commitment, flexibility, ambition and enthusiasm, as well as patience. Experience working with special needs students is not required for employment, but having some experience is a definite advantage (as well as course work or experiences in special education and Autism Spectrum Disorders).
