The Need for Safer Doors
Many of our students are very sensitive to their surroundings and may react strongly to certain sounds, lights, or situations. Unfortunately, the doors at our school are old, have too much glass, and sometimes don’t close properly, which can be a safety concern.
What You Can Do

Improve Safety: New doors will have much less glass, making the environment safer for our students.
Encourage Independence: The new doors will have handles designed to help students with different abilities open and close them on their own.
Prepare for Emergencies: The new doors will include safety features that allow staff to respond quickly in an emergency, while still keeping students secure.
