What ages can attend the school?

We serve grades K-12, ages 5 through 21.

Note: Ohio law allows a student who receives special education services to attend school until the date of their 22nd birthday, if their educational team decides this is appropriate.

Are you accepting new students?

There is currently a waiting list for new students.

The school recommends that families interested in enrolling a new student submit an application. If you’d like more information regarding the waiting list process please click here.

How does a new student apply?

The first step in applying for admission is to print out and complete the student application. If you do not have access to a printer, please contact our office.

To be considered a student must…

  • be a legal resident of the state of Ohio
  • be between the ages of 5 through 21

Do you charge tuition?

As a publicly-funded community school in the state of Ohio there is no fee to attend the school.

Parents, who are able to, are encouraged to…

  • pay an annual classroom supply fee
  • provide reinforcements for students (items they enjoy)

Do you provide transportation?

Yes, the school employs licensed van drivers and owns a fleet of minivans.

Do you have summer programming?

Yes, we currently offer an optional extended learning program, which runs throughout summer months. See our calendar page for details.

What hours do students attend school?

There are two sets of arrival/dismissal times…

  • Early Arrival/Departure – 8am to 2pm
  • Late Arrival/Departure – 9:15am to 3:15pm

Which time a student attends will be placed on their classroom placement.

How many teachers and paras are in each room?

We have a 1-to-2 ratio, which means there is, on average, one teacher or paraprofessional for every two students. Some rooms could be one-on-one based on the specific needs of students, while others may have a single teacher and paraprofessional.

How many students are in each classroom?

Class sizes range from five to seven students.

What kinds of things do you teach?

Because we focus on providing each student with meaningful and personalized learning experiences, it is difficult to give a brief answer to this question. One thing we can say is that we prioritize curriculum that is evidence-based.
